In this way, strategy matching the profession is formed and at the same time, a strategy matching the operations is also formed. The relationship between the two differs depending upon the state in which the enterprise is placed. For example, it may not be possible to divide the enterprise which has only single operation, on the basis of operation.

On the other hand, and enterprise having multiple number of operations and when it has extremely high degree of heterogeneity in relation to the technology and the market for its operations, consideration of a common profession-wise strategy does not have any meaning except in the case of financial strategy.
